Bio

My first memory of photography was as a child, circa 1984. With a day-glo yellow 110 film camera in hand I feverishly ran about the backyard burning through rolls of 36.

I filled my high school schedule with any photography classes offered, sometimes sneaking into the darkrooms when I should have been in algebra.  This is when I also discovered I could combine my passions for photography and music. I love photographing live performances and the behind-the-scenes of the music world. I started as a teenager and it’s still as exciting to me today as it was then.

Continuing to follow my passion for creating images I attended Cecil College for Professional Photography. While in college I gained the technical skills and hands on experience to make my creative ideas reality.

After College I began freelancing for local magazines and businesses. At night with camera in hand I covered bands and nightlife, developing my own signature style. In 2005 I became the staff photographer for Spark magazine, a weekly entertainment publication distributed throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. On a daily basis I photograph fashion, portraits, food, performances and editorial content for print and online content.

Drawing influence from an eclectic variety of sources such as nature, rock ‘n’ roll, film noir, pop culture and vintage photography, I am constantly inspired and never short of ideas.

In addition to working with Spark I am always looking for new clients in need of creative photography.  I pursue engaging visuals with attention to detail.  If you’re ready for something exceptional call me for an appointment.
